Research Interest

Research Focus:

2003-2006            Biochemical and genetic characterization of T cells from common variable immunodeficiency patients (CVID)

2007-2010            Functional characterization of Shc proteins in the immune system, with a focus on the proapoptotic member p66Shc. In particular the role of p66Shc in the pathogenesis of B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia patients (B-CLL), providing solid evidence that leukemic B cells are characterized by a deficiency of p66Shc, identified as a critical regulator of B-cell survival.
