Research Interest

Biomonitoring of  the state of ecotoxicological health of the Mediterranean marine species (in particular cetaceans and reptile species) by means of no-lethal approach and molecular techniques.

Genetic population studies by molecular markers in natural populations, both vertebrates and invertebrates.

Inter- and Intra- specific susceptibility to contaminants exposure of mammalian species and evolutionary process of adaptation to xenobiotic compounds.

Develop of Real-Time PCR techniques for the application in evolutionary and ecotoxicological context.
